Tyn y Cwm seems to have a hold over all the previous owners, as since we have been here all who were alive have returned for a reminisce.
The property had been part of the local large estate, being sold off around 1980, they kept the farm land.
The last tenant farmers had been the Binings, the wife Bunny, was a regular visitor, and always gave us fascinating insights to their life from the 1950s. Her last visit was 1st May 2011 with one of her daughters and son in law, when we had a wonderful tea down in the summer house, she seemed in top form. We were shocked to see she death reported the following month.
Some of her ashes are spread on a hillside above the river a little way from the house.
Sadly one of her daughters ashes are also there. The spot was picked as the 3 daughters had loved picking primroses there. The sheep had eaten off the plants since we have been here, but the area is now fenced off, so I've transplanted some of our primroses to around the marker cross so hopefully they will be seen there next spring.
I'll give details of the other visitors we have had.
